I’m a big believer in chunking out learning so that the most effective modality can be applied to each component. Fact sharing definitely does not need to be done synchronously. I’m not sure about behavior change because 1) I don’t think people are always clear about what behaviors they want to encourage and 2) I’m not convinced that we can directly change behaviors.
However there is a third goal of learning programs: helping people understand/process/integrate the framework of ideas so that they can learn more. Sometimes classroom settings are good for this because the instructor can see in the student’s eyes whether they are getting it. Whereas behaviors can change without understanding taking place.
It is understood that classroom training is not always practical/possible so an alternative might be visualization for making the framework clear and ongoing discussion on social media to make sure people are getting it.
